Brooks Design Studio is an interior architecture and design practice defined by precision, discretion, and restraint. Originally founded by Donna Brooks in 1985 and reimagined under the direction of Angela Brooks in 1992, the studio has grown into a multigenerational practice known for delivering environments that are architecturally resolved, emotionally attuned, and quietly luxurious.

While Angela’s work brings a sense of restraint, refinement, and modern quietude, the spirit of the studio’s origins remains woven into its foundation. Angela Brooks

Design Principal

Angela approaches design the way she approaches art: with a reverence for form, a curiosity for the in- between, and a belief that space shapes how we feel. A graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Interior Design, she has spent over 30 years crafting interiors that are both composed and deeply personal.

Known for her precision and poetic restraint, Angela draws from a lifelong artistic practice and a global perspective - traveling the world to experience architecture, art, and culture through a wide lens. Her designs are informed by contrast: structure and softness, light and shadow, stillness and movement.

Alongside her husband Gabriel, a fellow artist, Angela brings an intuitive sense of balance to every project. Her work has earned numerous industry accolades and national publication features, but it’s the quiet details, the intentional edits, the thoughtful proportions, that define her style.

At Brooks Design Studio, Angela leads with empathy and vision. She believes the best spaces aren’t just beautiful, they reflect the people who live in them, and offer room to evolve, breathe, and belong.

Donna Brooks

Design Principal

Donna designs with heart, intuition, and an undeniable sense of joy. With over 50 years of experience in residential and commercial interiors, she brings energy and warmth to every space she touches.

Donna founded Brooks Design Studio in 1985, laying the foundation for what would become a multigenerational firm rooted in creativity, connection, and craft. Known for her love of bold color and expressive detail, Donna sees design as a celebration of life and a way to tell stories, spark emotion, and shape how people experience their everyday.

Her work spans homes across the United States, The Bahamas, and The Caribbean, always guided by the same principles: listen closely, collaborate freely, and bring beauty to the surface. With a natural talent for building lasting relationships with clients, builders, and architects alike, Donna leads with generosity and vision.

She believes that interiors should feel as alive as the people who live in them, and her spirited approach continues to influence everything we do at Brooks Design Studio.
